Hi,
As I am working with the developer, some issues keep popping up when we update theme from 6.2.3 to 6.12.3.
once its update, it breaks the website, most of functionality stops working, header footer also lose their function. Any idea how to fix this? or what are we doing wrong. Thank you
January 6, 2024 at 5:59 am #4061Hello, @xpasha,
Thanks for your contact.
First of all, please check the theme changelog: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/changelog/
The 6.2.3 version of the theme was released on (1.19.2022) around 2 years ago.
And you are updating the theme from a 2-year-old theme version to the very latest version.
If you carefully check the changelog, there are a lot of features and styling that have been added and removed into/from the theme.
So the best possible way is to, clone your site as a test site and then try to update the theme and plugins onto your test site first so that if any issue occurs you can solve it on the test site and once all is fine, you can then migrate your site from a test site to live site.
How to update the theme, please read our theme documentation here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/update-theme/
How to update the plugin, please read our theme documentation here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/update-plugins/
Best Regards,

January 11, 2024 at 4:57 am #4160Hello, @xpasha,
No need, I have already updated the Theme and Porto Functionality plugin to the very latest version on your site.
Please check back to your site now after clearing the browser cache. The site crashed was because of any third-party plugin confliction, first I disabled all the third-party plugins on your site and then updated and all worked smoothly.
After checking your site, you can again reactivate all the third-party plugins on your site, one by one, and check which one was the reason for your issue.

PThemes Team.January 11, 2024 at 7:25 am #4164Hi check website header in Arabic version,it is not the same it was before.
January 12, 2024 at 5:06 am #4171Hello, @xpasha,
As I wrote above that the main issue was because of any third-party plugin, so I disabled all the third-party plugins on your site, and the language plugin was also the third-party plugin and your main issue was resolved.
And then I asked you to re-activate all the third-party plugins one by one.
So it seems disabling and then re-enabling the language plugin reset the site language.
So please try to reset or remake your header for the Arabic language as well and it should work for you.
Best Regards,
PThemes Team. -
