If you first install Porto theme, it doesn’t contain all contents you see in the live demos. Porto provides demo importer which allows you to import any entire live demo or special parts (Theme options, Posts, Widgets, etc) to your site.

You can find demo importer in Porto -> Setup Wizard -> Demo Content.

What is a Demo?

A Demo is an example of website which is built using Porto theme. It contains theme options, pages, posts, products, portfolios, images, widgets, etc and you can import all of them into your site.
Porto provides about a hundred of demos which covers e-commerce, classic, business, blog and portfolio area.

Which Page Builders were used?

Demos were built using WPBakery Page Builder, Elementor and WordPress Gutenberg Editor.

How are Demos used?

– You can see what you can do and how to build your website using Porto theme.
– Demos are useful when you don’t know where to begin. If you’re new to building websites, demos can be a great starting point, because you can have exactly same site as the demo.
If you want to use any block of other demo, you can import it only.

Importing Porto Demos

Porto provides powerful demo import engine. It doesn't require to meet the server requirements, and works well for any servers.

Before import demo

– You need to activate Porto theme using your Envato purchase code.
– You need to install required plugins such as Porto Functionality, WPBakery Page Builder, WooCommerce, etc.
– You must have the ZipArchive extensions installed and activated on your server.

How to import Demos

Navigate to Porto -> Setup Wizard and click Demo Content section.

Please click a demo to import. Then demo importing dialog will be opened.
If you want to import special parts of a demo (Theme Options, Widgets, etc), please click Details and select parts.
There are two methods to import demos: Standard Mode and Alternative Mode.
If your server doesn't meet the Porto's server requirements or any issues with Standard Mode, please use Alternative Mode.

Importing several demos’ blocks

You can import special page block using Porto Studio.

Porto Studio allows you to import blocks in a page so you can easily create new page and it is possible to combine several demo contents into a page.
